soreness? If yes, then you should apply some heat to reduce the effect
of the pain. To do so, you can use Hot Gel Packs,
which increases blood flow and restore movement to the injured tissue.
Warmth also minimizes pain, joint stiffness, and muscle spasms. When
compared to cold packs, heat gel pack plays a vital role in easing pain
from both chronic and acute injuries including strains, sprains, and
much more.
It
is always better to use cold packs for the first two days and then
shift to hot packs. You can apply the hot pack, which wrapped with the
towel or cloth for 20-30minutes. Some of the physical therapists
recommend alternating between cold and heat for people with chronic
issues and muscle spasms.

hot packs are extremely handy for offering hot therapy to soft tissue
injuries. Heating the gel pack needs some extra care and handles it
safely. Most of the hot gel packs are a lozenge-shaped and rectangular
sealed pouch. It is usually made of nylon or plastic to provide the

on your needs. When it comes to heating the pack, you need to soak it in
hot water or cook it in the microwave oven. It is always safer to use
microwave method because it gives instant heat. Take a glance at the
instructions to heat the gel pack.
-
Firstly, you should set your microwave to 600w and then place the hot
gel pack flat on the microwave and close the door. Set the timer for
20seconds to heat the pack.
- Once the timer has completed, remove the gel pack with the help of an oven glove or towel to hold it simply
-
You will notice that the edges of the pack are warm while the middle of
the gel pack is still cold. It is because of the availability of less
gel at the edges.
- When holding the pack with the
glove or towel, squidge up the pack to move the gel around inside and
evenly distribute the heat.
- If the heat is not
enough, then put the pack in the microwave oven for another 10-20miutes.
Use the same method mentioned above until the hot pack gets enough
warmth.
